Active playtimes
This week the last pieces of equipment for our playground store arrived. The children had a great time sliding around the playground on wheeled trolleys using oars to row. It was great to see children working together to create rows of trolleys to move as a group. At one point I looked across the playground and saw every child engaged in an activity. Our focus last year was to make our playtimes and lunchtimes more exciting and this week has shown how far we have come. We know that children being active in their breaks has a positive impact on their physical and mental wellbeing and this activity shed will be well used. 
I need to say a huge thank you to Ocado who generously donated £1,000 towards this project. The photograph gives a little taste of the range of equipment we have purchased to encourage all children to be active during the day.
