This week we had Isla Ward, a Junior Olympic Skiing Champion visit school. All of the pupils took part in a fitness circuit, where they completed four different activities on a continuous loop. All of the pupils came out with big smiles and commented on how much they enjoyed the activities.
Isla, then gave a whole school assembly where she told us about how she started out, her greatest achievement, her greatest challenges and her hobbies that have helped her to become an athlete. As Isla was not able to demonstrate her sport, she completed a demonstration on a unicycle while juggling. She explained that this has helped her with her balancing and coordination that is needed for her sport.
A big thank you to Mrs Stallard for organising the event and to everyone that was able to raise sponsorship money, which will be used to purchase new sports equipment for the school. Well done to all of the children for showing resilience and team spirit whilst completing the circuit.
