Bikeability

This week a group of children from Otter Class took part in Bikeability training delivered by qualified instructors from Outspoke Training. Bikeability is the government’s national cycle training programme. The scheme aims to inspire more children to cycle by equipping them with the skills and confidence to ride more.

The children involved talked with confidence and enthusiasm about what they had learned. This included checking the bike, navigating roads and safety when sharing the road with other users. They also understood what they need to wear to be safe on a bike. All the children had learned something new and felt that the course had given them more confidence to ride safely on the road.
