Stay and Play

On Thursday morning, Early Years invited in family members to join Grey and Red Squirrels in their environment. Parents explored the different learning activities and really got involved. The event was extremely well attended and many parents commented on how confident the children were in their space and how happy they were.

The perception is that Early Years 'just play' but the reality is that the environment is set up to engage children in their learning and promote independent thinking. Every area has been planned and resourced carefully to give our children the best possible learning experience. As the parents left at the end of the session they were given information on how to support their child at home in the different areas of learning.
